I see many "done-for-you" services on every IM forum,
ClickBank products, and just about every IM platform that offers
services and products. These are usually really popular.
Expectations
They say that most people going in to IM are rarely ever successful. Do
you ever wonder why? It's mainly because most people going in to IM have
their expectations of hard-work set too low. They think things will be
handed to them and they'll start making money.
This goes hand in hand with the idea that you're sitting at home working
from your computer which deviates people's expectations for the amount
of work that really goes in to it. Let's not forget the idea of
countless ads that plague our browser with "MAKE MONEY FROM HOME in 3
EASY STEPS" and "SOFTWARE THAT PROVIDES 1 EASY CLICK BUTTON" further
pushing and reinforcing the idea into our brain that making money online
has some secret that can make you money easily or it's not as hard as
offline businesses.
Let me put it to you this way - if this was the case, everybody would be
rich on this forum who had bothered to put in any work at all.
This constant reinforcement shifts the entire outlook of IM and when
people come in only to realize that it isn't that easy and there is hard
work required, it suddenly dawns on them that IM is not just sitting
at home making money - it's a real business. Just like any other offline
business, you're working with real people - the only difference is that
it is online.
Setting Yourself Up For Failure
But... The landscape of IM has shifted... slightly. It has changed.
There are people starting to pick up on claims of "easy 1,2,3 make
money" and "1 click software buttons" with skepticism. They then move on
to looking at ways to truly earn by further researching and setting up
their plan. They set these 'plans' in motion, maybe do a half-assed
attempt at making money and fail. Or, maybe they never actually start on
the plan at all and start looking at shortcuts and solutions. In either
case, the two groups end up looking towards "done-for-you" services
that hand off "ready-made blogs", "ready-made directory sites" and more.
"Done-For-You" services can almost be viewed as a "SOFTWARE THAT
PROVIDES EASY MONEY" advertised under the veil cover of "Done-For-You
Service!" which can get our brain firing in all cylinders from the way
it was predispositioned to IM in the first place (wow, it's actually
supposed to be easy, this is a great shortcut!).
The big issue with the idea of engrossing yourself in these types of
services is that if you don't entirely understand the niche, then you'll
always fail regardless or never reach the potential you can. People
don't bother to try to do trial and error, their own research and due
diligence to the level they should. They don't try to actually put in
the effort of testing different sectors of the niche and trying
different things. They look towards these "done-for-you" services as a
way out so that they don't have to actually understand anything and they
can just get started with making money. This is just not the right
mentality to have.
An example of this can be from a programmer's perspective. Now a
days, many programmers call themselves coders when really they're
copying half the shit that's already written online. Again, this is
completely fine. But let's say they're building a large infrastructure
and they find out half way that something is bottle necking the CPU
usage. Well, they wouldn't know what's taking up the CPU usage to solve
the issue because they don't understand at all how the libraries and
code is interacting with each other. Some will swap libraries, some will
try to come up with their own solution and some will just accept the
usage - call it a bug they have to fix which they never end up getting
to and just pretend like it doesn't exist. Their program is now not at
it's fullest potential it could have been.
The same goes for Internet Marketing or anything in life. You are
limiting your own potential by depending on "done-for-you" services
without really understanding what's being delivered and this can not
only limit your potential for earnings and understanding of the niche
but also just be a simple waste of your time. Now let me clarify: Many
people's mindset going in to getting these types of services is for a
quick-fix and that is what's wrong (mentality) - not the actual service itself.
The Right Mentality
Are done-for-you services a bad idea? No. This message is for the
people who haven't done their research or haven't done enough trial and
error themselves to really delve themselves in to the niche. If I am
engrossed in a certain niche, say Google Adsense auto-blogs for example
and have been doing it for a while in various ways while having decent
knowledge in the sector, then I can go ahead and say alright, let's get a
service that can help me scale. Or let's get a service that can make
these parts I find difficult, easier for me. This is the right mentality.
You have done your research. You have dipped your toes in the niche to a
level where you are comfortable in finding the appropriate solutions to
make your life easier, scale or to solve problems. This is all well and
good and is in fact encouraged - you should not try to do everything
yourself - that'd be a terrible idea.
But really try to understand the niche you're operating in.
Just remember, done-for-you services can be beneficial for you
if you've already sunk deep in the niche and know what you're doing
well enough that you can find appropriate solutions to expedite or
increase your earnings. But if you're going in with the
mindset of taking shortcuts and not giving a shit about understanding
the process while thinking you're going to make thousands from a site
you'll have no idea how to monetize and send traffic to properly, then
you'll be limiting yourself and setting yourself up for failure.
This may come off as common sense to some, but there are many that fall
in to this trap without even realizing it. Real Life Solutions already
makes this readily apparent just based on the sheer popularity of these
types of services. Most people who do get it, rarely ever find the
success they were looking for and you'll usually find are suffering in
the wrong mindset.
